A Day in the Field Keeping South Florida Cool

Morning Briefing – 6:30 AM

The day starts early at Bradley Heating & Air Conditioning, as the Florida sun doesn’t wait for anyone. I grab my morning coffee and review the day’s service calls while the morning forecast plays in the background. Summer in South Florida means our schedule is packed with AC emergencies and maintenance visits.

First Call – 8:00 AM

My first stop is in Wellington, where a family’s AC unit stopped cooling overnight. In Florida’s humidity, this isn’t just uncomfortable—it’s unbearable. I perform a comprehensive diagnostic check, finding a failed capacitor and low refrigerant levels. Quick fixes like these make for grateful customers.

Midday Rush – 12:30 PM

After completing preventative maintenance in Royal Palm Beach, I head to West Palm Beach for an emergency call. These are the moments that remind me why I love this job—helping people restore comfort to their homes when they need it most.

Common Tasks Throughout the Day:

• System diagnostics and repairs
• Filter replacements
• Refrigerant level checks
• Thermostat programming
• Ductwork inspections

Afternoon Wrap-Up – 4:30 PM

The day ends with a final service call in Lake Worth. As I complete the paperwork, I can’t help but feel satisfied knowing several families will sleep comfortably tonight. That’s what makes working in AC service worthwhile, especially in our tropical Florida climate.

End of Day – 5:30 PM

Back at headquarters, I review tomorrow’s schedule and restock my truck with essential parts. Another day of keeping South Florida cool comes to an end, but I’m already looking forward to helping more customers tomorrow.

Remember, regular maintenance is key to preventing those dreaded emergency calls. Stay cool, South Florida!
